Brook Road, Redhill mains replacement

We are currently working on Brook Road. We plan to finish the scheme by late December 2020. From 4 January we will have a road closure at the junction of Hooley Lane and Brook Road.

Start date: 19 October 2020 

End date: Late December 2020

Working hours: When possible, our delivery partner Clancy Docwra will be working 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, these hours may vary depending on weather conditions, daylight and staff availability. If off peak or weekend working is required, we will update this page. 

Due to the location of the existing water main, and a number of other utilities already in the ground, we will be required to work in the public highway. Therefore, we plan on using temporary traffic lights to manage the traffic. The works will be split into two parts:

• Two-way traffic lights will be in place for two weeks from 19 October at junction where Brook Road meets the A23 Brighton Road. This is to connect the new water main to the existing network
• After this, specific traffic management will be in place as we continue to lay the new mains down Brook Road

Please note, we will need to suspend some parking bays in sections as we move down Brook Road, while the works take place.

All traffic management arrangements will be advertised on our website and information boards will be visible in the affected areas prior to any traffic management being implemented.
