Old Reigate Road, Brockham

The first section of Old Reigate Road has been laid, tested and properties are now being connected. Once works have completed in this section we have approximately 90m of mains laying outstanding (east of Kiln Lane junction), that will require a change in diversion route. Advanced warning will be in place before any change of traffic management/diversion.

Working hours: When possible, our delivery partner Clancy Docwra will be working 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, these hours may vary depending on weather conditions, daylight and staff availability. If off peak or weekend working is required, we will update this page.

Due to the location of the existing water main, and a number of other utilities already in the ground, we will need to work in the public highway. To keep residents, motorists and our workforce safe we have to put traffic management systems in place, primarily a road closure - see diversion route.

We have chosen to use a trenchless technique, known as directional drilling to lay the new water main. Directional drilling is less intrusive than the more traditional open cut method.
