Langley Park, Sutton trunk mains project

The work we're doing to lay a new trunk main in Langley Park is vital to the resillience of the local network and will the secure safe and reliable drinking water supplies to local homes and businesses into the future. By 2025 our target is for all our customers to be supplied by more than one treatment works and this project will help achieve this.

The project involves laying approximately 2.4km of 450mm new main from an existing main in pasture land adjacent to the Telegraph Track in Sutton, to an existing main within the grounds of Langley Park Reservoir (The Crossways Road). The Langley Park main will connect the How Green and Langley Park zones and allow water from both our treatment works in Woodmansterne and Kenley to support the Cheam area.

Our Keeping your water flowing booklet explains the four stages needed to lay a water main and answers some key questions you may have.
