Langley Park, Sutton trunk mains project

We’ll be closing a section of Crossways for three weeks from Tuesday 28 February while we complete our work to upgrade the water main in the area.

The road closure is needed while we test the new main and bring it into service. Due to the location of our work in Crossways, we’re unable to use any other traffic management without compromising the safety of the public and our workforce.

We’re sorry for any disruption caused and have included a diversion plan below to use for the full closure.

Working hours:  When possible, our delivery partner Clancy will be working 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, these hours may vary depending on weather conditions, daylight and to staff availability. If off peak or weekend working is required, we will update this section of the web page.

 

We have been liaising closely with the London Borough of Sutton to minimise the impact this major scheme will have on the local road network. Approximately half of the scheme is cross-country and half is on roads. Although some road closures will likely be needed, we are planning the route in order to reduce the impact on road areas and will ensure all diversion routes are kept as short as possible.

Temporary traffic management will be put in place to keep road users and our teams safe during construction. We will keep those directly affected updated and put information on our website.
