Battlebridge Lane mains replacement

We have implemented the road closure in Battlebridge Lane in order for us to carry out an important connection, as part of our ongoing mains replacement projects in the area.

Start date: 10 May 2021 

End date: Expected to last for approximately two weeks

Working hours: When possible, our delivery partner Clancy Docwra will be working 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. However, these hours may vary depending on weather conditions, daylight and staff availability.

 

Due to the location of the existing water main, and a number of other utilities already in the ground, we will need to work in the public highway. To keep residents, motorists and our workforce safe we have to put a closure in place. We are maintaining access for residents and businesses (who are operating as usual during the closure period). The  closure is in place between Subrosa Drive and New Battlebridge Lane which will be a no through route.

Road closures are used when we are unable to provide the required legal distances around our works. When this is the case the road will be closed in 100 to 150 meter sections at a time and within these sections the road will be fully reinstated before we move on to the next phase.
