Notification of unauthorised use
How you could help us stop unauthorised use
What can you do?
Unauthorised hydrant use is frequent and creates a lot of water quality issues for customers such as discoloured water. What we need from you if you see someone using a fire hydrant:
- First check to see if the operative is using an orange coloured standpost to extract the water. (If they are not, its likely not to be an authorised standpost)
- Take a photo of the fire hydrant with the standpost connected and in use
- Take a photo of the vehicle registration being used
- Take a photo of the company name on the vehicle if possible
- Send this information to waterregulations@seswater.co.uk or DM us on Twitter @SESWater.
