SES Water returns as main partner for Orphest Music Festival 2024

16/05/2024

SES Water is proud to announce it will be returning as the main partner of the Orphest music festival 2024.

The festival, set to take place on Saturday 22 June 2024, at the Orpheus Centre, Godstone, is a family-friendly outdoor event featuring live bands performing across two stages, a kids’ zone, performance area, arts and crafts stalls, workshops and food stalls.

The funding raised will enable the charity and college to host the annual event where SES Water will be providing free water saving devices and a number of volunteers to support the running of the event.

Ian Cain, CEO of SES Water, said:

“We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with the Orpheus Centre and look forward to returning as the main sponsor of Orphest 2024. The Centre is a local charity with whom we have developed a close bond in recent years and believe the festival is a great example of the community coming together to celebrate music, culture and family-friendly fun.

“We’re proud to support local events that promote community engagement, and we look forward to a fantastic day out for everyone involved.”

Dr Rachel Black, CEO of the Orpheus Centre, said:

“We have a very special partnership with SES Water and we are enormously grateful for their enthusiasm and commitment to supporting us and the students. Their kind sponsorship again this year means we can open our doors to the local community for everyone to visit the centre and discover the vibrant, fun and welcoming place we are proud to be a part of.”

Orpheus enables young disabled people to learn the skills and confidence they need in order to live as independently as possible and uses the arts as a vehicle to promote learning and personal development. Students at the Orpheus Centre learn a variety of skills, from cooking and personal finances to accessing the community and managing personal support.

Tickets to attend Orphest are available online. Children under 12 attend for free.
