Mains replacement is underway and a road closure is in place for the safety of our staff and other road users. As a result, the local busses in the area are on a diverted route.
We are resuming mains replacement work that can be carried out in a safe way, in line with the Government’s latest advice. The safety and wellbeing of our staff and our customers is of the utmost importance to us and we have been able to implement the necessary extra precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are investing in an important water mains renewal project in Brockham to secure safe and reliable drinking water supplies for homes and businesses.
The current water mains, which date back to the 1900s, have now reached the end of their operational life. The new water main will provide secure safe and reliable drinking water supplies for homes and businesses.
The project will involve laying approximately 1.2km of new main along Kiln Lane. Our Keeping your water flowing booklet explains the four stages needed to lay a water main and answers some key questions you may have.
