West Park Road, Copthorne mains replacement

Working hours: When possible, our delivery partner Clancy Docwra are working 7:00 until 19:00 Monday to Friday, 8:00 until 16:00 on Saturday and 9:00 until 13:00 on a Sunday. However, these hours may vary depending on weather conditions, daylight and to staff availability. If off peak or weekend working is required, we will update this section of the web page.

 

Due to the location of the existing water main, and a number of other utilities already in the ground, we will be required to work in the public highway. Therefore, traffic management will be required to keep residents, motorists and our workforce safe. We plan on using temporary two-way traffic lights to manage the traffic for the majority of the works. Road closures will only be required at either end of West Park Road in order to make new connections to the existing mains. These closures will be in place during the Easter and summer holidays 2021 to minimise disruption to daily commutes.

We will maintain access for residents and businesses (who will be operating as usual during the closure period), via the opposite end to each of the closures. Please be aware the closures will not be occurring simultaneously and diversion routes will have to be followed as the road will be a no through route.

All traffic management arrangements and diversions will be advertised on this web page and information boards will be visible in the affected areas well in advance of any closures being implemented.
